Hotel Engel is the most comfortable option in our winter line-up: a 4-star family Gourmet & SPA hotel in the heart of the Dolomites, for those who want more from a ski holiday than just access to the slopes. It's the choice for families who want to combine skiing, great food, an extensive wellness area and a well-organised children's programme - without compromising on the adults' comfort. Day to day we ski in Carezza, a sunny and scenic region at the foot of the Rosengarten and Latemar. It works well for families: easy logistics, well-groomed pistes and a calmer feel than the biggest, busiest Dolomite resorts.
What sets this trip apart
- The most comfortable hotel in our winter offer: 4-star Gourmet & SPA.
- High-end cuisine: half board included, plus the Michelin-starred Johannesstube restaurant as an optional extra.
- Wellness after skiing: pools, saunas, relaxation areas, a Family Sauna and panoramic views of the Dolomites.
- A family programme without the chaos: ski school for kids 3+, the hotel HappyClub 9:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m. and Polish QC Travel activities 5:00–6:00 p.m.
- Carezza every day: a sunny, family-friendly region with simple logistics from the hotel to the slopes.
- Options for more ambitious skiers: Val di Fassa, Dolomiti Superski and an organised guided ski trip if enough people are interested.
Kids have a plan. Parents have space.
The trip includes 6 days of ski school for children aged 3+, 6 hours a day. After skiing they meet for Polish QC Travel activities from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., and can also use the hotel HappyClub, open 9:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m. in Italian, German and English. Meanwhile adults can ski on their own, take lessons, use the pools and saunas, relax at the hotel or join hotel activities. Once a week we also plan an organised guided ski trip, e.g. the Sellaronda, if enough people are interested.
A hotel that works for the whole family
Engel is more than a place to sleep by the slopes. It's a hotel designed so every family member has their own rhythm to the day: kids have ski school, activities and the HappyClub, while adults get a comfortable hotel, spa, good food and time for a quiet evening. The stay includes breakfasts and dinners in the hotel restaurant. For guests who want to plan a special evening, the Michelin-starred Johannesstube is an optional extra. Dinner there requires a separate booking and is not part of the half-board package.
Region: Carezza every day, the Dolomites when you fancy
Carezza is an intimate gem of the Dolomites: sunny, scenic and ideal for families who value good logistics over skiing in a hurry. The nearest starting point is the 401 Nova Levante – Laurin I gondola, which leads straight into the Carezza area. The Val di Fassa / Carezza ski pass lets you extend your skiing to the main Val di Fassa areas too - including Ciampac, Belvedere, Col Rodella, Buffaure and Catinaccio. For those who want to explore more, the Dolomiti Superski option is available: 12 regions, around 450 lifts and over 1,200 km of runs on a single pass.
Price at a glance

Included in the price
Hotel Engel - Gourmet & SPA
Hotel Engel is an elegant 4-star family hotel in Nova Levante, in the heart of the Dolomites and about 600 m from the Carezza Ski area. It's a place for families who want to combine a comfortable ski holiday with excellent food, an extensive wellness area and thoughtful childcare. The hotel meets family needs well: comfortable rooms and suites, the hotel HappyClub, pools, saunas, an activity programme and a shuttle to the Nova Levante/Carezza lift. After skiing, adults can catch a moment for themselves while children have their own space and plenty to do on site.
Meals
In our offer the stay includes half board (HB) - breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is a rich buffet with bread, regional products, savoury dishes, homemade bakes and healthier options. In the evening guests enjoy a dinner with a choice of menu, including Italian cuisine, regional meats, fish, and vegetarian and vegan options. Children using the hotel HappyClub can have lunch in the kids' club. The hotel is also home to Johannesstube, a restaurant with 1 Michelin star - an option for guests who would like to plan a special dinner during their stay. Dinner at Johannesstube is not part of the HB package and requires a separate booking.
HappyClub and Polish QC activities
One of the hotel's biggest assets is the HappyClub - about 200 m² of space for children from age 3. It's the hotel's kids' club with daily care and an activity programme. The HappyClub runs 6 days a week, 9:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m. Care is provided by the hotel team in Italian, German and English. The programme includes games, play, creative activities, indoor sessions and lunch for the children. On top of that, as part of the QC Travel programme, we run a daily block of Polish activities for children at 5:00–6:00 p.m. For parents it's a good moment to use the wellness area and saunas, or simply rest before dinner.
Activities organised by the hotel
Beyond skiing, the hotel offers its own activity programme for adults and families. In winter, guests can use the hotel shuttle to the Nova Levante/Carezza lift, a ski bus connection to the Obereggen area, guided ski trips in the Dolomites, winter walks, snowshoe hikes and the Fit & Active programme, including yoga, aqua gym, workouts and relaxation sessions.
Pools, saunas and wellness
After skiing you can enjoy several pools and relaxation areas, including a year-round heated outdoor infinity pool with a view of the Dolomites, an outdoor whirlpool, a panoramic indoor pool and a children's pool. The sauna area includes the Panorama Event Sauna, a gentler bio sauna, an aromatic steam bath and an infrared sauna. Guests can also use the Kneipp path, a water-mist corridor, an ice fountain and a relaxation space with fresh mountain air. Important for families is the Family Sauna - a textile sauna available on selected days: Thursdays and Sundays, 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. Once a week the hotel also holds a Candle Light Sauna with extended hours.
